Deshaun began his professional journey as a physical therapy assistant, earning his degree from Mott Community College. Over six years, he developed injury prevention, rehabilitation, and kinesiology expertise. However, a desire for greater impact led him to pursue nursing at the University of Michigan at age 40.

Balancing his studies during the COVID-19 pandemic, Deshaun became the only 44-year-old African American male in his program. His perseverance paid off as he graduated and specialized in mental health. He worked in partial hospitalization programs to provide therapy, education, and support to youth and adults.

Deshaun’s commitment to fitness was reignited during his 30s when he adopted consistent workout routines. What started as sporadic gym visits evolved into a 10-year streak of disciplined fitness, ultimately shaping his career in lifestyle coaching. Deshaun believes fitness is more than physical—it’s a gateway to building confidence, mental clarity, and emotional resilience.

Today, he combines his expertise in nursing, physical therapy, and fitness to create customized coaching programs that address:
